I am so glad that Model Art magazine from Japan published my MP4/5B in their latest issue of the magazine.

The lower rear wing element is very lousy from the kit, so I used the spare one from Tamiya F1-2000 to replace it.




Extended the rear undertray area.. The rear tires is too far off from the undertray. So I extended the undertray so that it is closer to the tire.



Late season J199 has a pair of aero device on front part of the undertray.



I scratch built one myself with styrene sheet and epoxy putty.




After gray primer, I found tons of imperfection on the undertray... that means a lot of cleanup and fillings to follow..

Got a little progress on J199. Start to scratch build rear wing end plate. The upper wing elements are from MP4/13 German GP version and the bottom part is stock white metal one. The end plates are supposed to be narrower, but the stock decal won't fit. So I decide to make it 'look like' the Italian lower downforce wing instead.

Just get the Jordan J199 started. Looks like quite a bit of cleanup is needed... but not as bad as the MG one.

I took the just-finished MG F1-2000 to SVSM Kickoff Classics 09 yesterday and I am lucky enough to win the 1st place in open wheel competition auto category and best competition auto award.



My modeling buddy Mark Rawlings' super Porsche GT2 won the closed wheel competition auto category and best automobile award... Big congrats to Mark
