Just got a EJan RB5 wide nose.. what a nice car and kit. The shape wise, it is very nice.. Panel lines aren't that nice. The front suspension cover and nose panel line definitely need to be re-scribed. Overall, it will turn out to be a nice one.

Conversion done... I am happy with the result..




Now I got Gunze GX04 yellow and am ready to paint the car

Got some minor progress.

The car is all primed. Just waiting for Gunze GX04 yellow paint to come.




I decided to discard the stock steering wheel because it looks really bad... I modified the one from F310B to replace it.

I am so glad that Model Art magazine from Japan published my MP4/5B in their latest issue of the magazine.

The lower rear wing element is very lousy from the kit, so I used the spare one from Tamiya F1-2000 to replace it.




Extended the rear undertray area.. The rear tires is too far off from the undertray. So I extended the undertray so that it is closer to the tire.



Late season J199 has a pair of aero device on front part of the undertray.



I scratch built one myself with styrene sheet and epoxy putty.




After gray primer, I found tons of imperfection on the undertray... that means a lot of cleanup and fillings to follow..
